Raised and educated in western and central New York state, Neil Brideau draws, tells stories and sings songs at the top of his lungs in Chicago, Illinois. He enjoys riding his bike, playing 4square, reading comics, making vegan food, and listening to community and public radio. Neil makes minicomics about friendship, and draws the online comic Sock-Monster.

While his passion is self publishing, Neil's work has been published in several anthologies and zines, and has had minicomics published by Short Pants Press and Uncle Envelope. Neil plays music with his best friend Joshua Farnum in the band James P.B. Duffy, is an organizer of the Chicago Zine Fest, and works at Quimby's Bookstore.

In the picture above, Neil is participating in a vegan Ice Cream eating contest. While he didn't win the competition, he got to eat a pint of his favorite ice cream for free, which was pretty awesome.
